University merchants must provide in writing to the UNL PCI Team requests to change any component or aspect of the method by which they accept or process payment cards, including the purchase, lease, or replacement of any equipment or system utilized to accept and process payment cards. This must also happen whenever any network change occurs to a system that involves payment card activity.
Use the System Configuration Change Request Form to request a change. This form MUST be utilized to ensure all security measures are in place for systems related to credit card processing. Anything outside of monthly software patches should be approved via it.

Examples are:
- Firewall changes
- Changes to or new IP's
- Change in version of software
- Change in service provider
